Weenie Roast FAQ:
· What is it?
Answer:
We'll be eating charcoal grilled wieners in the park. We will also have a
selection of beverages and fun outdoor activities.
You are
receiving this invitation because you are friends, or mutual friends, with
someone on the Weenie Roast Planning Committee.
· Where is it?
Answer: The Hickories, Pavilion #5. Google Maps Link
Directions
from Rt 17 exit 65 or LM: Go towards Owego. Turn LEFT
at the traffic light next to McDonald's, and follow that road until you cross
the bridge into the park.
Bear
left at the Y. Then take the next left, go over the creek, and we'll be on your
right with weenies. We will be in Pavilion #5 (the one with lots of people and
wieners).
There's plenty of parking next to the pavilion.
· When is it?
Answer: Friday June 6th from 1:00 pm to sundown.
Stop by after work and have a weenie (or three) and a beer (or eight).
Just remember to drink and eat responsibly (weenie eating contests have been known to breakout)
Mark your calendar (using attached meeting notice, if you wish)
· What should I bring?
Answer:
If you like making food feel free to bring something delicious to
complement the weenies, such as a sauce or greasy weenie topping.
Potato and pasta salads are nice. Cookies and other sweet treats are also encouraged.
Please
bring a few bucks to donate to the weenie-and-beverage fund.
Recommended donations are $5 if you're eating weenies and another $5 if
you're partaking in adult beverages.
Larger donations are never discouraged. As always, any proceeds will be donated to a local animal shelter.
· What else can I do?
Please
inform me of your intended presence. You can use the voting button at the top
of this email to let me know that you're coming.
Feel
free to forward this on and to invite others I may have missed (give me a +#
if you're bringing others).
I'll need an approximate head count for wiener and beverage purchasing purposes.
See you on the weenie fields!!!
